Terms of Service

Effective: 14 September 2026

This website and the CardSnap web application are operated by the owner of CardSnap. These terms apply to anyone who visits the site, creates an account, or uses the app.

1. Your account

You must provide accurate information when you register. You are responsible for keeping your password and account credentials secure. CardSnap is a personal productivity tool; each account is for one person only.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to use CardSnap to collect, scrape, harvest, or copy contacts or content that you do not have permission to use. You may not use automated scripts, bots, scrapers, or AI tools to extract data, reverse-engineer the app, or recreate its design, code, or functionality.

3. Copyright and trademarks

© 2026 CardSnap. All rights reserved. The CardSnap name, logo, branding, user interface, and the original content of this website are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Unauthorised copying, imitation, or distribution is prohibited.

4. Data and privacy

Contacts you scan and store in CardSnap are private to your account. See our Privacy & PDPA Notice for details on how we handle your data.

5. Personal data and PDPA responsibilities

For the contact details you scan and store, you decide what is collected and why, so you act as the data controller. CardSnap acts as your processor and handles that data only on your instruction, for the purposes of running the app's features.

  • Your undertaking: you confirm you obtained each person's business card or contact details for legitimate business contact purposes, and that you will use them in line with applicable data protection law, including the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).
  • Our undertaking: we keep your contacts confidential to your account, do not sell or share them, do not use them for advertising, and do not use them to train AI models.
  • Retention and deletion: you can export or delete your data at any time from Settings. On account deletion we remove your login, profile, contacts, notes, groups and stored card images.
  • Incident notification: if we become aware of a security incident affecting your data, we will notify affected account holders without undue delay.
  • Subprocessors: we use a small set of hosting, AI and enrichment providers, described in the Privacy & PDPA Notice, and send each only the minimum data needed.

These commitments describe our own practices. They are not a certification, audit outcome, or guarantee of regulatory compliance for your particular use of the app.

6. Service availability

CardSnap is provided as-is. We do not guarantee that the service will always be available, error-free, or suitable for every use case. We may change or discontinue features without notice.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or use CardSnap in a way that harms other users or the service.

8. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to the site owner through the contact details listed on this website.

These terms are maintained by the app owner and are not legal advice. If you need advice for your specific situation, please consult a lawyer.
