CardSnap only asks for the access a feature actually needs, and only when you choose to use that feature.

- Requested when you sign in, used only to create and identify your CardSnap account.
- Contacts access
- Requested only if you switch on contact sync, used only to write the contacts you pick into your own account. We do not read or index the rest of your contact list.
- Calendar access
- Requested only if you switch on calendar sync, used only to see the events you are attending so a scanned contact can be tagged to the right meeting, plus create the follow-up entries you ask for.
- What we never do
- We never sell or share your data, never use it for advertising, and never use it to train AI models.

- Is CardSnap free?
- Free membership lasts forever. CardSnap Free includes 10 card scans a month, unlimited saved contacts and 5 AI actions a month.
- How do I become a founding member?
- The first 1,000 members get CardSnap Pro free for 12 months, applied automatically when you create your account. Later members get 90 or 30 days. It never renews and nothing is charged. After that, the Free plan stays.
- Do I need to install anything?
- No. CardSnap runs in the browser. You can also add it to your home screen on iPhone or Android for full screen scanning.
- What happens to the card image?
- It is stored in your own account so you can check the original later. Only you can see it, and you can delete it at any time.
- Does it handle Asian phone formats?
- Yes. The reader is tuned for ASEAN mobile prefixes, so the mobile number that lands in the contact is the one you can actually call.
